An OPEN LETTER to … Advocate Erin Brockovich & Data Center Experts …

-

Ms. Brockovich & Those in the Know:

We need clarification fast. Facts. Not misinformation. Real truth. And that’s because, no matter how many times we try to look up valid information on the development and existence of data centers, all we find is conflicting information.

And folks, we have questions.

Does the good outweigh the bad? Are the extra tax dollars worth the land use? Has the industry evolved away from the detriments involving utilities usage? Has government caught up with legislative mandates involving extra costs to current consumers? What happens to these developments and the property once the technology shrinks – as it always does – and the facilities are no longer needed?

Is this all simply another political scrum between two parties forcing failure onto each other while an innocent citizenry is left to debate and divide? Or is the conflict manufactured by those wishing to steal away the profitability to other states, countries and continents?

All questions that need answers.

It’s reached the point where we can’t even trust our Google searches because we don’t know who’s controlling the generation of online replies, so that’s why we need as much in-our-face empirical evidence, real-life examples, and authentic testimony about water bills, grid strain, electrical expense, environmental impacts, and the health issues connected to what’s been described as a mind-numbing hum that emits from these “Cloud bearing” facilities.

So, since there are more than 5,400 data centers across the country already, we figure these businesses and their hosting communities should have former employees, old neighbors, past civic leaders, current economic specialists, and concerned medical professionals who might be willing to explain their lived experiences so the future can learn from the past.

Oh, and Ms. Brockovich and tech leaders, please be sure to bring the Holy Bible with you because we’ll need a whole lot of hand-raising to The Lord to believe anyone telling us what we don’t want to hear.

Sincerely,

The Truth Will Set Us Free
