Dear T.J. and Bonnie (Boury) Radevski:

First, we would like to thank you for owning and maintaining an attractive and entertaining “sports garden” restaurant for all these years, and thank you, too, for paying tribute to Elby’s Family Restaurant by offering so many of the old favorites on your menu.

The Fish n’ Chips, Half-Pound-Ground-Round, spaghetti, ham & bean soup, cole slaw, onion rings, Mtneer (Swiss) Miss, the Brawny (Lad) Mt’neer, the Slam (Slim) Jam (Jim), and the Big (Boy) T remind us of those Big Boy days when splitting a Hot Fudge Cake on a date was a real big deal.

In fact, that’s exactly why we’re reaching out.

We wish to strongly encourage you to share with the world the recipe for YOUR Big (Boy) T  Sauce. We know there are alleged versions out there – the Big Boy Restaurant Group in Michigan even sells their rendition online, for crying out loud! – but we respectfully and vehemently admit we prefer yours over theirs … and it ain’t even close.

We believe, too, such a gesture just might qualify you both for the Nobel Peace Prize in the “Culinary Contribution” category. Well, OK, we’re not really sure about all that, but we’ll be rootin’ ya, anyway.

Sincerely,

Kidding Not Kidding
