An OPEN LETTER to … Wheeling’s Snow Removal Crews …

-

Crew Members:

Scoop after scoop and dump after dump, it’s a lot of snow, and it’s not melting much either. We’re thankful that plow drivers pushed it out of the way to create ranges of frozen mountains, and over the past couple of days, you and your co-workers have started hauling it away.

You’ve worked in the bitter cold, you’ve been harassed and honked at for “getting in the way” and for not clearing the roads AND the roadside parking spots, and no matter how much snow it seems you’ve collected, there’s just so much more everywhere you look. The job, as you know, is far from done, too, but we wanted to take a moment to appreciate your efforts to win such an unwinnable war so our existence can be a little safer and much more convenient than it was less than a week ago.

Thank you.

Now, we have no idea how many people will help us spread the gratefulness for you and your efforts this past week, but we sure hope everyone does share so more and more people can stop for a second, really think about it, and then be rightfully thankful.

We are.

Sincerely,

We See You
