Blame My Roots Fest (BMRF), a weekend-long country music event slated for July 14 – 16 at Valley View Campgrounds in Belmont, is again gifting concert tickets to local veterans in honor of Memorial Day.

BMRF, in partnership with Belmont County Tourism, will donate a blend of single- and two-day General Admission tickets for every ticket sold at any level this holiday weekend.

Chris Dutton, BMRF co-creator, developed the philanthropic Memorial Day promotion in 2021 to give the gift of live music to this exceptionally deserving group of men and women. It was an easy decision to re-up this year.

“Our veterans have given myself and all of us more than I can ever give back to them,” Dutton said. “While their sacrifices deserve a lot more than a concert ticket, I’m hoping the gift of a weekend’s worth of live music and entertainment makes them feel appreciated.”

Members of the Belmont County Veterans Service Office (BCVSO) will receive the proceeds of the ticket-for-ticket match. Cindy Maupin, BCVSO Executive Director, lauded the thoughtfulness and selflessness of this second-year promotion.

“The response to Blame My Roots Fest’s ticket match last year was incredible, and our members are very much looking forward to it again this year,” Maupin said. “There’s been plenty of excitement surrounding Dierks Bentley, Chase Rice, Ashely McBryde and more heading to Valley View this summer – excitement that many of our members will now get to participate in free of charge.”

BMRF’s Memorial Day promotion runs through 11:59 p.m. on Memorial Day. Tickets can be purchased at blamefest.com.
