New Martinsville Man Pleads Guilty to Firearm Charge in Federal Court

Talon D. Feucht, age 30, of New Martinsville, West Virginia, pled guilty to the unlawful possession of a firearm.

According to court documents and statements made in court, Moundsville Police arrested Feucht on an outstanding warrant on entering without breaking charges in Marshall County. During the arrest, Feucht admitted to having a firearm in his bag. A search of the bag resulted in the seizure of a .38 caliber firearm and ammunition. Feucht is prohibited from having firearms because of two prior felony theft convictions.

Feucht faces up to 15 years in prison. A federal district court judge will determine the sentence after considering the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Clayton Reid is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and the Moundsville Police Department investigated.

U.S. Magistrate Judge James P. Mazzone presided.
