ODOT Releases New Update on Rehabilitation of Blaine Hill Bridge

NEW PHILADELPHIA — In July 2025, major demolition work began on the Blaine Hill Bridge. Construction has progressed steadily over nearly 11 months.

ODOT is excited to share that the bridge is expected to reopen to traffic on July 1, 2026, provided there are no unforeseen delays.

Originally, the contractor planned to reopen the bridge with one lane of traffic temporarily while completing the remaining work. However, that plan has changed. When the bridge reopens, there will be no traffic impacts, meaning no traffic signals or lane closures.

Let the official countdown begin!
