Republican Shane Stack Takes Oath of Office for Appointment to House District 4 Seat

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Shane T. Stack of Triadelphia became the newest member of the West Virginia House of Delegates Thursday, July 23.

Stack was appointed to complete the unexpired term of former Delegate Bill Flanigan, R-Ohio. He is the owner of Frio Stack & Associates, where he serves as a licensed auctioneer and certified appraiser. He also is the owner of Island Pawn & Gun and previously served as West Liberty Town Treasurer.

“I want to serve the people of Ohio County and the 4th District,” Stack said after taking the oath of office, which was administered by West Virginia Supreme Court Justice H.L. Kirkpatrick. 

The new Delegate’s wife Michelle and son Ben stood with him at the front of the Chamber as he took the oath. House Speaker Roger Hanshaw, R-Clay, Sen. Laura Wakim-Chapman, R-Ohio, and former Marshall County Delegate Charlie Reynolds were gathered in the House Chamber for the ceremony.

His committee assignments and contact information will be listed on the West Virginia Legislature’s website at a later date.
