GEMS Camp (Girls Enjoying Math and Science) – July 20th and 21st, 2026
8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. – For girls entering grades five through eight
Cost: FREE tuition with snacks, lunch, and materials provided.
Funding for GEMS Camp provided by a generous grant from the Women’s Giving Circle through the Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley. Learn and have fun at the same time with other girls who love math and science as much as you do.
This year’s theme is “Dig Science” where we will explore geology, paleontology and archaeology with hands on activities. Dr. Elizabeth Rhenberg of the WV Geological Survey and Andrea Keller, former Grave Creek Mound Museum educator, will also lead activities.
GEMS Camp incorporates many areas of science and engineering. Fun math activities, too!
GEMS Camp will be held at SMART Centre Market, 1410 Main Street, Wheeling, WV
