State Route 7 Projects
State Route 7 southbound 4 The SR 7 southbound on-ramp from 4th Street in Toronto is closed to traffic as part of a mine subsidence restoration project. To access SR 7 southbound, traffic is rerouted northbound to the SR 152 exit, then returns to SR 7 southbound. Estimated Completion: October 31, 2026.
State Route 7 mine subsidence restoration: A mine subsidence restoration project on SR 7 just south of the 4th Street EXIT ramp in Toronto. One lane of traffic is maintained during construction. Estimated Completion: October 31, 2026.
State Route 7 resurfacing: A project to resurface SR 7 from Brilliant to Steubenville. Resurfacing work in Steubenville will take place at night, and work outside Steubenville toward Brilliant will be during daytime hours. One lane of traffic will be maintained in both directions throughout construction. Estimated Completion: October 31. 2026.
State Route 7 Northbound On-Ramp closure at Logan Avenue: The Logan Avenue ramp to SR 7 northbound is closed indefinitely due to a recurring slope failure. Since January 2025, the slope has repeatedly failed, prompting the ramp to be closed for safety until repairs can be made. Construction will begin in the coming months as ODOT awaits required approvals from the adjacent railroad. Estimated Completion: October 27, 2026
Other State Routes
State Route 213 closure: SR 213 is closed for a project to realign a portion south of CR 56. The detour is SR 7 north to SR 152 west, SR 152 west back to SR 213, and reverse. Estimated Completion: September 30, 2026
State Route 213 resurfacing: A project to resurface nearly nine miles of SR 213 from SR 7 in Steubenville to SR 152 in Knoxville. One lane of traffic is maintained with flaggers. Estimated Completion: November 30, 2026
State Route 164 chip sealing preventative maintenance: A project to chip seal SR 164 from Bergholz in Jefferson County through Carroll County, ending in Salineville. Local Projects
Reese Street bridge closure in Irondale: The Reese Street bridge located just south of Saline Street in Irondale is closed for a bridge replacement. Estimated Completion: October 31, 2026.
West Virginia DOT Traffic Impacts

Veterans Memorial Bridge – U.S. Route 22 eastbound lane closures: A portion of U.S. 22 eastbound, on the Veterans Memorial Bridge, will have the two right lanes closed on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, for bridge maintenance. The closures will begin on the Ohio side and move across the bridge to the West Virginia side throughout the day. Motorists are advised to slow down in the construction area.
