W.Va. Patrick Morrissey Reports 8th Death, One Missing During Wednesday Morning Update

W.Va. Governor Patrick Morrissey confirmed this morning that an eighth victim – a male – of the flash flooding in Ohio County has been discovered.

Gov. Morrissey did not release the name of the victim, but he did confirm that one Ohio County resident has been missing since Saturday night when more than 4.5 inches of rain was received on the eastern side of Ohio County.

The Governor reviewed the efforts made by local, county, and state agencies since the disaster took place. He also read a long list of road and bridge closures in the county.

WVDOT is reporting the following road/ bridge closures and restrictions in Ohio County:
