Washington Avenue Bridge Beam Transport to Impact Traffic

WHEELING, W.Va. – Starting Monday at 8 p.m. and continuing each night through Friday, crews will be transporting a crane and beams for the Washington Avenue bridge project.

During this time, trucks will back down Washington Avenue from the westbound exit ramp of Interstate 70 to the work site, with flaggers assisting traffic. Traffic delays are expected. Motorists and residents are encouraged to plan ahead.

The City appreciates the public’s patience during this phase of construction. The project remains on schedule, with the bridge expected to be completed in October.
