Wheeling Arts and Cultural Commission Gearing Up for 2024 Wheeling Arts Fest

-

The Wheeling Arts and Cultural Commission has announced that the Wheeling Arts Festival will return on Saturday, Aug. 3 at Wheeling Park. This event promises to be a vibrant celebration of art, music, and community, making it a highlight of the summer season.

From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Wheeling Park will come alive with an abundance of creativity, featuring live music, an artist market, art demonstrations, and more! After receiving positive feedback about last year’s event location, the commission is excited to announce that the event will be held at Wheeling Park yet again.

For the second consecutive year, the Commission has collaborated with a local artist to create a unique design for promoting the event. This year’s featured artist is local illustrator Luke Novel, who has crafted a whimsical illustration for the Wheeling Arts Festival. His design, featuring pastel dinosaurs, people, and art supplies, will be prominently incorporated into all event promotions, and showcased on exclusive merchandise, including t-shirts, tote bags, and stickers.

“Last year’s festival was a huge success, and we are excited to continue to bring the festival back to Wheeling again. This year, festival-goers can expect not only the same high standard of art and entertainment but also a few surprises as well,” said Bethany Decker, Wheeling Arts and Cultural Commission co-chair.

The Wheeling Arts Festival is one of the Wheeling Arts and Cultural Commission’s biggest events, which it hosts to support and promote Wheeling’s arts community.

“We believe that art plays an important role in building a strong and vibrant community,” said Logan Schmitt, Wheeling Arts and Cultural Commission co-chair. “We hope the festival helps build an awareness and appreciation for our local arts scene and leaves a lasting impression on everyone.”

The Wheeling Arts Festival will take place rain or shine at Wheeling Park, located at 1801 National Road. Admission to the festival is free, ensuring accessibility for all members of the community. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for comfortable seating. A full lineup of music performances, vendors and more will be released in the coming weeks.  Stay up to date with the Wheeling Arts and Cultural Commission by following them on Facebook and Instagram.
