Wheeling Police Arrest Man on Felony Drug Charge

WHEELING, W.Va. – One person faces a felony drug charge following a search warrant executed by the Wheeling Police Department Thursday morning.

At approximately 8 a.m., officers executed the warrant at 19 Springhaven Road in the Woodsdale neighborhood.

When officers entered the residence, inside they located 26.25 grams of fentanyl, approximately 79 doses of buprenorphine, 2.3 grams of meth and 1.5 grams of psilocybin mushrooms.

Matthew Robert Pockl, 34, of Wheeling, was arrested and charged with one count of possession with intent to deliver fentanyl.

Pockl was arraigned by an Ohio County magistrate, who set bond at $75,000 cash only. He was transported to the Northern Regional Jail. Additional charges are pending.
