Wheeling’s Valley View Storm Sewer Work Set to Begin Next Week

-

Storm sewer work in the Valley View neighborhood of Wheeling is slated to begin Wednesday, Aug. 28. The project is a part of the City’s long-term Water Pollution Control Plan.

The storm sewer work will involve the installation of a new storm sewer line between Biltmore Avenue and Chantal Avenue from Wheeling Creek to Valley View Avenue in the Valley View neighborhood. Work hours will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. during construction. The public will be notified of any traffic disruptions that will take place while work is being completed. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the project should be completed in December.

In May, City Council awarded a contract in the amount of $700,314 to James White Construction Co. for the storm sewer project which is being funded through American Rescue Plan Act dollars.
