WEST LIBERTY – West Liberty University’s Department of Music and Theater will hold its 2nd annual Mental Health Concert Event beginning at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 24 in the College Union Ballroom.
The event is designed to raise awareness of mental health through music, poetry, and an informative presentation.
The West Liberty University Choir will perform four selections related to themes of mental health. Members of the WLU Theater Department will read powerful and moving poetry, exploring themes of mental health through heartfelt words and expressive performances. Finally, students will give a presentation focusing on results from a recent research project on childhood trauma.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The program will conclude around 7 p.m.
Admission is free and open to the public. Guests are invited to make donations to the Choir Program through the West Liberty University Foundations annual Topper Day of Giving fundraiser to support students and future events.
