Wheeling Heritage Announces Power of Partnerships Luncheon on June 10

WHEELING, W.Va. – May 28, 2026 – Wheeling Heritage invites the public to its Power of Partnerships Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 10, at the Wheeling Artisan Center, bringing together community leaders to discuss collaboration and ongoing efforts to revitalize and shape Wheeling’s future.

“The last several years have seen a lot of progress in and around our region,” said Scott Schenerlein, executive director of Wheeling Heritage. “I tend to think much of this growth, and the lead-up to it, can be attributed to people working together. Partnerships play a pivotal role before, during, and after catalytic projects, and this panel can provide good insight into how that’s paying off for our community.”

Panelists represent key partners across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors who play an active role in Wheeling’s economic development. Participants include Robert Herron, City Manager for the City of Wheeling; Frank O’Brien, Executive Director of the Wheeling/Ohio County Convention and Visitors Bureau; Josh Jefferson, President and CEO of the Regional Economic Development Partnership (RED); Zachary Abraham, President of the Ohio County Commission; Susie Nelson, Executive Director of the Community Foundation for the Ohio Valley; Jennifer Materkoski, President of the Wheeling Area Chamber; and Scott Schenerlein, Executive Director of Wheeling Heritage.

Hydie Friend, former executive director of Wheeling Heritage, will serve as moderator for the panel discussion.

The luncheon is $15 per person and includes a buffet lunch. Reservations are requested by Friday, June 5. To reserve a spot, visit https://wheelingheritage.org/power-of-partnerships/. For more information, contact Wheeling Heritage at (304) 232-3087.
