WHEELING, W.Va. — The Capitol Theatre is proud to announce the launch of Broadway on Main Street, a newly reimagined Broadway series that ushers in an exciting new era of live theatre in downtown Wheeling.
While Broadway productions have long been a cherished tradition at the Capitol Theatre, Broadway on Main Street introduces a fresh identity, enhanced subscriber benefits, and a renewed commitment to bringing exceptional touring productions to the Ohio Valley.
The inaugural 2026–2027 season features four outstanding productions:
- Meredith Willson’s The Music Man
- Gerard Alessandrini’s Spamilton: An American Parody
- Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol
- Dr. Seuss’s The Cat in the Hat
The goal with Broadway on Main Street is to create more than a season of shows, but to build a community of theatre lovers who look forward to gathering at the Capitol Theatre year after year to experience the magic of live Broadway.
Season Subscriptions offer the best value and the most complete Broadway experience. Subscribers will receive the lowest ticket pricing, retain the same seat for all four productions, enjoy flexible payment plan options, attend an exclusive subscriber kick-off party, receive a complimentary small popcorn at every performance, and receive priority access to reserve pre-show dinner in the Capitol Theatre Ballroom.
Season Ticket Packages will go on sale Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 10AM, giving theatre lovers the first opportunity to secure their seats and enjoy exclusive benefits.
Individual Single Show Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, August 26.
As Broadway on Main Street begins this exciting new chapter, previous Broadway subscription packages have concluded, allowing every patron the opportunity to become part of the new Season Ticket program from the very beginning.
