Tragedy in Belmont County: Past Articles on the Investigation into a Double Homicide

-

Today’s announcement concerning the February 18th arrest of 32-year-old Andrew Isaac Griffin in Hawaii was the result of an everyday, 3.5-year investigation by Belmont County Chief Detective Ryan Allar, his staff, many other deputies, and state and federal agencies.

Griffin has been charged with two counts of aggravated murder in connection to the double homicide Thomas and Angela Strussion on September 21, 2021. Griffin and Thomas Strussion were business partners with the Salsa Café restaurant in the Elm Grove neighborhood of Wheeling.

As this morning’s press release stated, formal proceedings will occur before the Belmont County Grand Jury where the results of the non-stop investigation will be presented while seeking the appropriate indictment. When that process takes place has not yet been determined.

Below are a number of the articles published by LEDE News since this tragedy took place in the quiet Trails End neighborhood. We will continue our coverage as new information emerges, and we will continue our prayers for the families and their friends.
